Lest We Forget - Arthur Wellington Jonah - Killed in Action 100 Years Ago Today 11.06.1917

Arthur Wellington Jonah, 817081 was from Elgin, Albert County, New Brunswick and was born February 18, 1895. He was the Son of Benjamin Ronald Jonah and Ida L. (Bishop) Jonah, of Portland, Cumberland Co., Maine. He enlisted with the 140 Battalion on November 10, 1915. He was listed as Killed in Action while fighting with the 26th New Brunswick battalion on November 6, 1917 at the Battle of Passchendaele. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the MENIN GATE (YPRES) MEMORIAL , Belgium.
