The Albert County Museum and RB Bennett Centre is one of the most important heritage sites in New Brunswick.  This where we honour the past and important legacies, from the muddy banks of the Petitcodiac River to the fishing fleets of Alma, beyond Calidonia Mountain to Elgin. Help us tell the stories of the “People of the Tides” who helped build this wonderful community!

The Albert County Museum is owned and operated by the Albert County Historical Society, a charitable not-for-profit organization, and operates the museum in the public trust.  We receive a portion of funding from government sources, and our Society works to raise the funds needed to operate through visitor admissions, building rentals, memberships, the gift shop and book store sales, and most importantly donations from generous people like you. A charitable tax receipt is offered for donations of $20 and over.

Your donation helps transform our collections into living history, With your support, we are making history come to life for community members and visitors to the region, creating a learning experience for people of all ages - especially children and youth.

Your generosity is an investment in the future of Albert County's heritage, and will ensure that our collection of 10,000 artefacts, images, and documents remain a testament to our achievements, and those of our ancestors throughout this great county.

Funds raised go towards maintaining the 178 year old Shiretown Buildings, beatifying the 6 acre gardens, building new exhibits to house donated artifacts and support public programming such as “Albert County 175” to tell our stories and honour our history.
