Lest We Forget - Leonard Lounsbury - Killed in Action 100 Years Ago Today 11.10.1917

Leonard Lounsbury, 865675 was from Petitcodiac, New Brunswick and was born May 19, 1896. He was the Nephew of Mrs. John Govang of Midway, Albert County, New Brunswick. He enlisted with the 181 Battalion on May 13, 1916 in Brandon, Manitoba. He was listed as missing in action and presumed dead while fighting with the 8th Battalion on November 10, 1917 at the Battle of Passchendaele. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the MENIN GATE (YPRES) MEMORIAL , Belgium.
