Outdoor Concert at the Albert County Museum - Saturday, August 24th between 1 – 4 pm
Three local acts are performing in support of the Court House Conservation Campaign to help the restoration of the 1904 treasured building. The stage for the concert is the Exhibition Hall, and is on the grounds between the Court House and the 1845 Albert County Gaol (jail).
Paul Toner will open the event with folk songs he wrote to celebrate Albert County’s history including an original song about the Court House! Local favorites Fundy Ceilidh will perform their unique collection of Celtic music, songs that are century’s old to original songs including one they wrote for Albert County 175. The lead performer is rising star Shane Dougthwright who, along with his band, will perform crowd-favorite country and bluegrass covers, and songs Shane wrote about life in rural New Brunswick.
Early Bird Tickets are only $20 and included the concert and a 2 day pass to the Albert County Museum. As of August 20th, Regular Tickets are $25 and tickets will be available at the gate. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. BBQ burgers, hot dogs, snacks and soft drinks will be for sale – what a great way to spend a summer afternoon!
