Join us as we open the new Abner Reid McClelan Exhibit! Born in Riverside, AR McClelan was a successful businessman and politician. He was an elected member of the NB House of Assembly in 1854, and he was an important supporter of Confederation. In 1867, he was appointed as a Canadian Senator, a position which he served for 29 years. In 1896, he was appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick and served in that role until 1901.
We honour this important Albert County resident with a new exhibit in the Records Office. After the unveiling, a reception will follow in the Community Hall.
