This is King John Steeves' house before it started to fall down. This a side view that I have on a postcard
Model T Touring parked in front of the church on Main Street , Hillsborough. Not sure exactly how old the picture is.
This is the previous Hillsborough First Baptist Church building that stood on the same location. It was built in 1909, I believe.

Here is a rare picture. The late Johnson Steeves (middle back) ran a store in Stoney Creek and was a collector of all things, especially old cars. This looks to be a picture taken in the front parking lot. Also in the photo is Gordon Armstrong, Ken Rossiter, Curtis Rogers and the young guy out front is Johnson's son, Jackie, who has preserved the treasures there.
The other people in the picture are l-r Hazel Danahy, Eileen (O'Connor )Sullivan ( who provided the pic and info to the paper) Lillian ( O'Connor) Doherty and Margaret Duffy.
In this picture our house has been added to the back of the post office. To the far left is Delbert Wilbur's garage. Notice the steeple on the Catholic church.
"These were holding tanks for water. They were placed at all railway stops. The water was used as steam to drive the train. The water for the one at Albert came from Wyre Brook in Albert.
This is the old post office.
