Watch New Captain Molly Kool Video produced by NB's Tourism, Heritage & Culture

We are proud to share the story of Albert County’s Molly Kool, first female sea Captain in North America. Born and raised in Alma, NB, Molly changed the Canadian Shipping Act by becoming a sea captain. Hosted by retired teacher and ACHS President Dawne McLean, this informative and educational video was produced by NB Tourism, Heritage & Culture for use in schools in New Brunswick. We can now share this with the public. The video was recorded at the Albert County Museum and was edited by Peter Brzezicki of Painted Haus Productions, and includes music from recording artist Paul Toner. We are proud of you Captain Molly Kool!

A new exhibit for Captain Kool was developed recently and is in the Ship Building wing of the Exhibition at the Albert County Museum (open daily from 9:30 to 5:30). Visit the Albert County Museum’s website to read more about this amazing mariner: https://www.albertcountymuseum.com/molly-kool
