Artefact of the Week 2021 - 01. Guest Registry

Exactly 58 years, 7 months, 13 days ago today, the Albert County Museum officially opened it doors for the first time. According to this guest book from the grand opening, over 178 people proudly attended the day to see Donald Bishop, warden of Albert County, cut the grand opening ribbon in front of the Court House. The guest book contains the names of many past and current residents of the area. In fact, the first person to sign the book was a Joseph Landry of Albert County.

The Albert County Museum is looking forward to celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2022 and hope members of the Landry family can join us!

This Guest book contains the names of 961 people in total who visited the museum between May 19, 1962 and July 23, 1962. Do you know someone who might be in there?
